Movplus® VS Placebo
Randomized, double-blind study, 40 Thai males and females aged 30 to 60 years old with knee OA symptoms were divided into two groups. The placebo group (20 people) received a daily dosage of 40 mg of Maltodextrin, while the Movplus® group (20 people) received a daily dosage of 40 mg of Movplus®. The study period lasted for 30 days, and the assessment of improvement was conducted using the Womac score*.
Movplus® group showed 70% improvement compare with baseline and also showed significant reduction of OA symptoms compare to the placebo group.
*Womac score (The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index) is widely used in the evaluation of Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis. Higher scores on the WOMAC indicate worse pain, stiffness, and functional limitations.
